
NANOCOMPOSITES BASED ON ORGANIC ALKALI SOLUBLE SILICATES (OASS)
OASS is a family of nanostructured composites based on different kinds of soluble silicates formed from a liquid phase. Through the incorporation of special liquid additives (acting as a microcrystallizing nucleators), OASS has achieved a significant increase of silicate matrix strength and toughness.
Advantages
OASS have superior properties in comparison to convention chemical resistant organo-silicate composite materials including: 2- 3 times stronger (special nanostructured additives cause the increase of tensile strength and water resistance)
- 5- 10 times less water permeability
- Higher chemical resistance in acid media
- High fire resistance
